How to Apply

Since the School has been authorized for a site visit by ACPE, the School is now able to move forward in our recruitment initiatives and application procedures. In doing so, the Admissions Committee has met and finalized the application procedures for the fall 2010 applicant pool.  We are using the Pharmacy College Application Service (PharmCAS), a centralized online application service utilized by the majority of pharmacy schools nationwide. The School will also use the Pharmacy College Admission Test (PCAT) as one of its requirements necessary for application consideration. Applicants may have their PCAT scores submitted directly to PharmCAS (PCAT Code 0104) or to UMES (PCAT Code 0100).   The application deadline is February 1, 2010.

Below is a list of the required application materials:

  • PharmCAS Application (www.pharmcas.org) which includes: a personal statement (which outlines a student’s interest in pharmacy); 3 Letters of recommendation; PCAT Results (use PCAT codes 0104 or 0100); and, official transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges or universities previously attended
  • Supplemental UMES College of Pharmacy Application (available for download in September 2009 at www.umes.edu/pharmacy) which includes; a biographical sketch (a one page summary of who you are, what matters most to you, and how you would add value to the College of Pharmacy at UMES), passport photo, and a $25.00 supplemental fee.
